In a mild summer night in 2005 - the blood alcohol level not quite that high that there couldn’t be made any rational decisions, at a bar in Wohlen, Switzerland:
Over a pint of chilly beer, a poser and a rascal decided to set up a band. The movie maker guy as third band member was certain from the beginning as well. Henceforth the positions of lead vocal/guitar, lead-guitar/backgroundvocal and drums were set. Yet after a few jam sessions at the end of 2005, we had to fight our way through crowds of groupies to get out of our rehearsal room. Unfortunately we explored, that they weren’t any groupies but a cover-band who practice next door. In such a way irritated at our practices, we didn’t notice any further, that a bass guitar player was missing in our group. Our call followed two candidates who put through their paces. Unfortunately they both didn’t pass the test, because they were neither good nor handsome enough to be part of our band. A mad stroke of genius gave us the idea to ask the bass playing dipso, if he - although (he thinks) we will him never be dignified - gives us the honour to play in our band. It put out that this really was a fluke. Since June 2006 the band finally was complete:
| Baltis: | Lead-Vocal / Guitar |
| Adi: | Lead-Guitar / Vocal |
| John Stairs: | Drums |
| Igel/Pasci: | Bass / Vocal |
The search for a suitable name wasn’t easy as well. Because of an acoustical discrepancy Manuela Weibel discovered the perfect and final name for our band: Dirty Venus.
