Lada Laika writes music while he wanders the stars.
Based in Seattle, also known as Nicholas Heinlein, and an occasional collaborator with House Without Walls (Zach Anderson), he has been (quite frequently) making music under the moniker since early 2008.
His genre shifts from album to album. With 2008 debut Android Orchestra he employed various techniques and ultimately settled for the descriptor “Orchestronica.” He followed suit with a pair of alternately ambient The Big Beautiful Nothing and 8bit Rad Like Whoa EPs. In July 2009 he released his second full-length, Dream Machine. His fifth outing, In Flames, is too long for an EP but too short for an album. It was released in November 2009.
