Partition 36 is an electronic music project started by Andrew Jones-Gonzales in late 2006.His goal with Partition 36 is to write electronic music that mixes synthpop elements with slightly harder EBM styles and a dash of inspiration from video game music. Most of his inspiration draws on the environment around him, his thoughts on certain subjects, and the "colors" he see when he listens to the music.
Synthesizers are obviously very important to his music since he focuses on electronic styles. In particular, he hopes that his music serves as a sort of "celebration" of what synthesizers can do for music. That isn't to say that he specifically tries to create unusual sounds, but rather he tries to create timbres and voices that sound natural in his songs.
