Now here’s a pretty face you won’t find in a dress. Making her way into the heart of the city, this small town girl has started living in an uptown world, equipped with tattered converse and blue jeans. At the age of 21, only one year after the release of her first EP “House With No Doors”, Stephanie Bosch was invited to play the Edmonton Folk Music Festival (August 2009) along with such names as Kathleen Edwards, Steve Earle, Tracy Chapman and Sara McLachlin. During that time, Stephanie released her full length album, “Departures” and only a week later was #24 on the CKUA top 30 radio charts, as the youngest and only Alberta artist. Two weeks after that, she was at #9.

In February 2009 Stephanie was awarded a $10,000 grant from Rawlco Radio which helped pay for the production of “Departures”.  The CD was produced by Juno nominated Sandro Dominelli and “Canada’s Guitar Hero” Bobby Cameron. Working together, the dynamic trio was successful in creating a sound so original, it can only be described as Stephanie Bosch. Sounds cliché, but it works.  Comparing her music to someone else’s is a hard thing to do.

Growing quickly, Stephanie has built up a solid career start and an amazing fan base. She was discovered in 2008 by Rhea March, founder of U22 Productions based out of Edmonton.  Since Steph has joined the young performers group and has benefited greatly from the exposure.

So far her major shows have been in and around Edmonton, and have attracted people of all types.  Recently Stephanie started playing with a full band consisting of her friends Corey Wilgosh, Keegan Wiebe and Brett Henry.  All Edmonton area musicians, Steph and the boys are convinced their true potential is together as a band. Playing to sold out crowds, they have built their reputation as a group capable of high energy live shows with sarcastic banter in between songs.

After the release of her debut full length recording “Departures”, Stephanie and her band plan to take the industry by storm. Recent performances include the World Skills Competition in Calgary, CBC National’s Alberta Sessions, Alberta Showcase and her official CD Release party in October 2009, which sold out all pre sale tickets only one week after going on sale.

Playing solo or with the band, it is undeniable that the music Stephanie performs is new to anyone’s ear.

In the world of music, it is the captivating uniqueness and individuality of an artist which makes them stand alone in a room full of talent and song. Stephanie Bosch and her band stand alone in that room, and once you’ve had a taste of their style, you won’t be able to get enough.
