BIO:

Es un grupo de metal alternativo, melódico, intelectual, con letras oscuras, metafóricas, muy poéticas, que cuentan impresiones, experiencias individuales y colectivas, historias reales o ficticias, dejando siempre abierta la interpretación de sus contenidos.

Sus comienzos se remontan a 1997. Luego de haber estado 4 años separados, en enero de 2003 se plantean la posibilidad de volver a tocar juntos, esta vez con la incursión de una cantante y definiendo mejor el estilo que representara a la banda. Se formularon ideas mucho más maduras, considerando en alto grado los arreglos musicales y la calidad de las letras, buscando siempre el impresionismo en todos los temas.

Se retomaron viejas canciones adaptándolas al nuevo estilo del grupo y a la presencia de una vocalista y se montaron nuevos temas, dejando muy marcado el presente con respecto a lo que fue Umbra en sus inicios.

Umbra is a melodic, intellectual, alternative metal band with dark, metaphoric, poetic lyrics that talk about individual and collective impressions of real and fictitious stories, leaving always an open possibility for interpretation of their content. Umbra's beginning goes way back to 1997. After being separated for 4 years, in January 2003 they pursue the possibility to get back together again, this time with female vocals included defining the style that will represent the band. More mature ideas were formulated, taking into consideration hi grade arrangements and lyric quality searching always for impressionism in all the songs.

Old songs were brought back adapting them to the new bands style and to the female vocals presence equally new songs were being done clearly outstanding the difference between present and what Umbra was in the past.
