More information...

Hi, Jamendo tribe!

We are a Russian psychedelic band that started making music in 2006 at Saint-Petersburg. At first, there were 2 of us (namely, Uholot & Cat Alone). Yet, soon our team grew much larger. Airis, Al Yoni, and Rineisky joined us at first. Peshehod, Dr. Qatz, Vadim Exeter, and Soft took part in Orangel and Last Human Sounds. It is an open project and we welcome any interesting person that likes to make sounds )

To start with, Yav i Nav means "that which is felt directly plus that which is guessed only by means of intuition".

The sounds you gonna hear were distilled from plants, chemicals, yoga, templars' lore, free love and tremendous inner transformation that every living creature feels now. It is full of symbolic figures like the Choirboy, the Mad Queen, the Dreaming Typewriter, the Exorcist, the Hungry Spirit etc. Their ghost-like and robotic voices mix with real-world noises, and synths resulting in polyphonic, essentially multi-layered river of sound. That's all we have on the air for now. Plus poetry and VJs at our concerts. If you like LPD, Current 93, Coil, Sati, Glass, Keith Jarret, you'll probably like these pieces too.

We recommend you to use good earphones and to listen to the albums alone for the first time to reach the deepest meditation level. Sometimes sound goes mechanical and distinct, and your left hemisphere activates. At times it becomes spaceous and fluid, and attention focus moves to your right hemisphere. Flow with it. The deeper you'll go, the more you'll see. It causes intense day-dreaming and hallucinations, which is fine, isn't it? Shared visions eventually form a common language. And common language is a firm ground for unity. And this unity of free people driven by inner silence and willpower in turn is all we need to expel our oppressors and live in harmony ever since as our Slavic ancestors told us to. We really love your trip-reports, wows and scornful remarks. So feel free to write us. )

Kind regards,

Uholot
