In 2003 the founding members of downliners sekt, frustrated by the imposing
elements of the corporate music monster, locked themselves away for a year in
the Pyrenees Mountains to write.
Their debut album STATEMENT OF PURPOSE was finally released January 2006 and available
for free download on dsekt.com as an answer to the copyright cartel and its anti-file
sharing scheme and broke the mould by bypassing the usual conventional path of mainstream
music market.
The live experience sets them apart from their contemporaries, guitar driven, organic & raw;
their intoxicating & dissonant compositions swell into textured angular forms creating a sonic
landscape that will demand your full attention.
