We began in far 1987, as a new wave band with social texts intertwined with deep romantic lyrics. In 1990 we were one of the first in Novosibirsk who created the original music with active use of computer. In 1987 - 1991 our project was called "OWLSTYLE". Under this name we had first performance on a scene of club "REST" in summer of 1991. The song “Golden Slumbers”, “Just the Cat” got wide popularity in students’ world. That performance had created a big commotion in professional musician’s and mass media area. “ZAKRYTOE PREDPRIYATIE” - most famous new wave band in Novosibirsk had special visit to our studio to meet with “new advanced electronic band”. There were three of us: Eugene Titkov - keyboards, back vocal, Eugene Komarov - programming & synthesizers, Vitaly Volokitin - the front voice. In the end of 1991 the band has been renamed as “AT-HOME” and under such name was known to our fans up till now. In 1992 the band had first show on TV. In the 1993 Vitaly left the band. But in the following years, we learnt that in Novosibirsk was “AT-HOME” fan-club.
e-gens MANIFESTO:
Now we are «e-gens» and we make our songs for everyone:
• who appreciates life, sincerity and purity of children, the beauty and tenderness of women, likes people and believes in the future.
• who hides what thinks so, but lives with these principles.
• who can recognize that they prefer beautiful to ugly, creation to destruction.
We appreciate, we synthesize and we develop the art of first bright stars of electronic, neo-romantic and rock-music.
We value, enjoy and pay special attention to new works of former, present and probably future stars because the new we prefer to the old.
We admire world poetry geniuses.
We appreciate the importance of history and the way of development of mankind.
We are following principles of ancient doctrines.
We support the superiority of the new world in which a life of a person, his/hers sincerity and creativity are valued higher, than oil, money or goals of any organization.
This is the world built on principles of life development and resistance to expansion of any destructive ideologies.
Power of melodies, riches of sounds and depth of words – here is the world of e-gens.
We are here to excite and to develop.
