More information...

four-O-four is a Godzilla on drugs: wild, raging and ready to kill and sometimes even calm and soothing. It is a mixture of all kinds of different influences, from rock and punk to harsh EBM and powernoise; the sound of Front Line Assembly and Front 242 blends with the Beastie Boys and Such A Surge to create a unique sound of its own with lyrics that have no mercy. Death, suicide, politics, society, fascism - no theme that couldn't be dealt with a good portion of honesty or even sarcasm.

The project began with the new millennium in Bremen, Germany, with a computer, a bunch of samples, a lot of creativity and a desire to learn how to create music. Four years later the project was good enough to go public and soon attracted the attention of DJ Phönix, who had been the singer of a regionally successful band named "Sonstiges". Soon he appeared as the lead voice on most of the tracks and in 2005 the album "Illusion" was published as the first official album in the project's discography. Three years later the album "Sui Caedere" followed, shifting the musical focus from mostly soft electronic music to harsher industrial sounds. Together with "Sui Caedere" an album entitled "Specials 2.0" has been released that features songs from the past that never made it onto an album, beta versions of some released songs and some that might be part of the next album which is planned for release in 2009. Aside producing the next album four-O-four is working on producing a liveshow which will hopefully go on stage in 2009 as well.

Listen closely and dive into the world behind the "love, peace and harmony" mentality of the morning shows. This is about the real life. Miss Hélium hit the nail on the head: “Dark, industrial, the sound of the true vision about this fucking world…”.
