A night with Radical Fiction 1993-2000 (Radical Side)

Radical Fiction is a musical project (as we say...) born in 1993 in Ostia (the seaside of Rome), between iodium, a squatt called Spaziokamino, and some illegal raves around...
Against copyright, not professional enough, punk, absolutely against the commodification of music and expression, for free information and to spread do it your self as an attitude, squatt citizens, social center people, radical, but real, never fixed, around, no star, no buy, no sell, sound unseriously, resolute, in the middle, but sometimes besides, open music, polinstrumentalist but absolutely no good musicians but full of involvement, willness, heart, with the idea to show that do it yourself is possible, mature to any needings, alive, still, now, smoke signals at the skyline... in some sunny days quiet leave spaces to istinct and expression born out.

What does have in common d.i.y. and money? Anyway... nothing, music and expression must be outside the market place, not to make rich shiny stars but to promote the diffusion of the culture. Could it be better if art was for free and accessible to anyone. ...So...

Radical Fiction è un progetto musicale (si dice cosi'...) nato nel lontano 1993 in quel di Ostia, tra lo iodio, il centro sociale Spaziokamino, e qualche illegal rave qua e là...
Avversi al Copyright, sufficientemente non professionali, punk, assolutamente contrari alla mercificazione della musica e dell'espressione in generale, per la libera circolazione delle informazioni, per la diffusione dell'autoproduzione come attitidune, abitanti di occupazioni, frequentatori di spazi occupati, radicali, ma anche con i piedi per terra, non fossilizzati, in giro, niente star, niente compro niente vendo, suoni scanzonati, decisi, in mezzo, ma a volte anche di lato, musicalmente aperti, polistrumentisti dalla scarsa bravura ma pieni di impegno, volontà, cuore, con l'idea di dimostrare che l'autoproduzione è possibile e matura per ogni esigenza, viva, ancora, tuttora, segnali di fumo all'orizzonte... in alcuni giorni di sole la quiete lascia il posto all'istinto e nasce l'espressione.

Cosa c'entrano musica e soldi? Ecco appunto niente, non dovrebbero essere la musica e l'espressione al di fuori del mercato e invece di costare cari e arricchire star patinate vuote piatte favorire la diffusione della cultura? non sarebbe meglio se l'arte fosse gratuita o cmq accessibile il piu' possibile a tutti? ...infatti...
