The Fumes was started back in 2001 as a compilation of numerous songs written and performed by me, Roland Trainor. I like writing new songs, and I tend to forget the songs I've written; so, I decided to start recording them and storing them on CD. At some point, I decided to start giving my family members copies of my CDs as Christmas presents - it's cheaper and, I think, more personal. Over the years, people lost their CDs or wanted another copy for someone else. After burning copies over-and-over, I decided it would be easier to put them online for people to download and burn their own copies. I found Jamendo, and I uploaded a number of the albums. I intend to continue writing new songs, compiling them into CDs (for Christmas presents) and uploading the albums to Jamendo.
