Three star hotel was formed during the summer of 2002. The 4 members already knew each other because they studied music in the same school and even had played together before.On their first performances, Sébastien, Thierry, Maxime and Loïc only played covers. But they quickly felt like writing and recording themselves their own stuff.Thus their first record was released by the end of the summer of 2003. Entitled “Baby superstar”, it contained 15 of their own songs and a Kylie Minogue’s cover. All these songs had been played for months before the release.This record gave them the opportunity to play many times with other bands.In February 2004, Maxime decided to leave the band. He was replaced in April by Hugo, who was already known by the other members. On April 15th they supported Uncommonmenfrommars for a show.During the summer of 2004 they recorded 12 new songs. For their new cd, they tried to increase the quality of the recording and asked to an Art student to draw them a picture for it. This second cd entitled “Waiting for the first fan was eventually released by the end of the summer of 2005, after months of recording, mixing, editing and promotion.Three Star Hotel is influenced by many bands, mostly English and American.
