The group is a hypnotic noise-rock inspired by expressionism of black and white movies from the debut of the last century and influenced by the negativity of human behaviour. The ULTRAPHALLUS cult is motived by a visceral theory about masculine contamination.
Founded by Phil Maggi and Gabriel Marguerie during the sessions of their dark-ambient improvisation project EVE AND THE SICKNESS in 2002, the band tried several musicians in Liège, their rock n'roll city, and discovered in the same time Julien Bockiau and David Greisch, the drummer and the bassist.
They worked together all the compositions during all the year 2004 and recorded their first demo 4 tracks U.1 in october. The 13th november, their first gig was announced in Liège with Enki.
A few dates are organised with bands like Vandal x, Amen Ra, Le Singe Blanc, Suma, Chang Ffos and Kylesa and Blutch . (archives)
2006 will see the birth of their first 9 track self-produced album, Ultraphallus presents Lungville.
