Good music to write programs to. Clearly nothing I would listen to on loop, but quite entertaining occasionally. Avalanche and Corridors are my favorites so far, because they are the most rhythmic.
...now if I could only understand what they are saying ;)
Catched me by surprise when I found it. It's very uplifting, rhythmical and full of spirit, well mixed, just mad fun.
I don't understand why the expectations for free music are so incredibly low. Just because the artists do not directly require to be paid, it doesn't automatically make it incredibly special when it sounds good.
Well, I suppose this one does, but it's easy for a team of world class players to win the district league. My standards for music are unfriendly high, and I'm not afraid to say something sucks, especially when it's free. When it is free, I expect it to be better than the stuff you can buy in a record store. That is how I try to write my own music as well.
That said, the mixing is beautiful, the performance is professional and relaxing. I'm not all the way through the album, so far I can say that it's aurally pleasing, but it's certainly not exciting. I miss a bit of edginess and toughness as a contrast. But that's how Jazz is, I suppose ;)
