Try again with at least remotely readable spelling, grammer and punctuation.

Hmmm... I don't know. Have you tried using the same process or technique that you are using for your forum posting? That seems to be working well for you.

    lol randy :-)

You could get this effect with editing software or you could go geeky and open the AVI as a text file (it will be MASSIVE) and then remove random bits of data - most likely you will just crash your machine...

best bet may be video editing software or finding a movie that is already messed up eg some "experimental" (/rubbish) stuff - but what are you trying to achieve????

in the end you need a complete file of you cant give it to other people.

you will have to recreate this effect properly in a video package and not try to 'hack' it.

    LOL!
It's a second time here that I see someone scorning spelling mistakes of another and while doing that makes them himself.

ImTOO MPEG Encoder allows you to select starting time. AVI & MPEG Splitter can set also ending time.

In Adobe Premiere you have a lot of filters to distort your avi file.

Ah Chilling Spirits reply I think?

Well 'he/she' is German so may have some problems with the 'sms' or cranky keyboard English.

Btw: phon: Indians speak/write better English.

it is more on-topic than your posts as I went on to answer the guy ;-)

    I asked for 2 reasons;

    1) being friendly

    2) my indian friends often write very phonetically :-)

This is not a method I would recommend.

Text editors uses some characters as formatting characters, like line feeds, carriage returns etc... When you feed it a binary format it will only read until it reaches the first EOF (end of file) character and the rest of the file will be ignored. Thus, when you save it again, it will remove far more than I think you intended.

The idea is fine though, just make sure you use a binary editor (or hex editor as they are called), and overwrite a few numbers instead of removing them.

if the file is too big and slowing your computer down, an easy way to get rid of it without actually having to delete it is:

    1) open up wordpad or whatever text editor you use. you don't need to type anything in it.
    2) save the word document as the file you want to get rid of in the directory it is in.

it'll overwrite the file and then you can get rid of it.
