[Closed] Torrents might have no seeders

For months already there are problems with the torrents.
Jamendo has recently changed to a different tracker software to tackle some problems related to that.
Apart from the tracker also the "torrent seeder servers" had some problems. That is being worked on too.

It should constantly get better. More and more torrents should start working (again). Please be patient. :)

If you want to download a specific torrent (or several) but can't get any seeders, leave a comment here or message me and I'll seed for you. Make sure to mention if it is the MP3 or Vorbis torrent you are after. I just need the album numeric id, so if you just post that and the format it's best.

I'm glad to hear something is happening with the torrent seeding on Jamendo, this is a serious sharing-obstructing issue.

There is an awkward way through the API but it is not official and shall not be spread anymore. So it's easier if you just nudge me and I'll initiate seeding.

You lovely person! May the rest of your days be filled with shining happiness! :D The lack of torrent seeds is the only only blemish in the audio heaven that is Jamendo. I have a growing list of albums (in Ogg Vorbis, of course) that don't have seeds available. I would truly be most appreciative if you could get the following seeded:

Also, if you're having problems with your torrent client, I do have a couple of recommendations. Transmission is absolutely amazing and runs on any platform you care to name. rtorrent is a commandline client for Unix, based on libtorrent and very lightweight. If you're going to be doing a *lot* of torrenting, I cannot recommend using a client written in anything but C--the performance will just not scale enough.

Again, thank you so much for getting this problem resolved! Jamendo has become a thousandfold better than it already was with this work. :D

I used rtorrent before but got regular cpu spikes. Also its interface is not very useful if you have many torrents (I tried n2hell as webui but it was very slow).
So now I am using Transmission. It is much better (even though the GUI gets quite slow with ~2000 torrents) but also it's a bit too simplistic for my taste. I would really like to have a one-line-text per torrent for easier overview) and an option for force-start torrents. Well, maybe someday. It's an impressive client, I don't think I will go back to rtorrent. :)

PS: I tried Deluge once. Reminded me of Azureus/Vuze for "some" reason...

what about a shell script?
Something like

• use RSS reader to save the posts of this thread in a text file
• a grep to get the links posted in there
• then some wget to dowload the targets of the links
• mkdir
• unzip
• wget the torrent files
• open file with your BT client

I just got the idea, I'll think about it later, got lot of work for the coming week.
