I was just wondering if any of the Jamendo regulars were taking part in the RPM Challenge this year.

Basically, the goal of the challenge is to try and create an entire album worth of material, written and recorded in the month of February. It's a lot of fun. (I've participated in the last two.)

If anybody is game, here's the website link --

This sounds like the music version of the National Novel Writing Contest. I've been pushing myself to do an album a month with Caustic Reverie anyways, so I might as well sign up for this.

There's also February Album Writing Month, which is a seperate thing thats pretty much the same, if you want to push yourself really, really hard and make two albums in one month. And then if thats not enough, maybe you could do an Album-A-Day or several and if thats still not enough, maybe take part in some SongFights, which is a challenge to write and record one song in a week or so based off a title and if thats still not enough... maybe you should check into a mental health facility.

    How do they check that?

Can't we just upload the album?

obviously they can't know, but if you do that, you're really only cheating yourself. it's not like there's a huge prize or anything like that to win other than the satisfaction at having completed the challenge.
