Tryad is one of the world's first 'virtual bands.'
Born of Creative Commons and opsound.org, the members of Tryad :: vavrek, arna, rjmarshall, John Holowach, and emma meet and create music entirely over the internet.
During 2005, for over nine months they collaborated, all without having ever spoken to each other (only e-mailed), and produced a strikingly original work.
Combining elements of trip-hop, alt. rock, classical instrumentation, and electronica, Public Domain breaks the mold of what you'd expect.
From the hard-thumping bass, drums, and chorus of "The Final Rewind," to the mellow, drifting sixties beat of "Peace On Earth (Same Place)," to the stinging madness of "Dance of the Urbanite," there's something here for everyone to appreciate.
Bands and artists like Portishead, Depeche Mode, Rob Dougan, The Beatles, Moby, Massive Attack, and many others mish-mash together in this profound audio journey...

C'est une musique qui donne l'impression de s'envoler. Un peu nostalgique, mais très relaxante. J'aime beaucoup la voix.
Moi qui suis plutôt réfractaire à ce genre de musique, c'est une révélation :)

Amazing, Brilliant, Good!! It has got everything, good lyrics, good vocals, great music, One of the all time, best albums on Jamendo! You just want to listen and download and play over and over again.

excellente musique, vraiment intéressante.
Je tiens à signaler que nous avons utilisé une des musiques de l'album (dance of the urbanite) pour une présentation video d'une reconstitution 3D sur notre site (un bureau d'étude archéologique: http://www.eveha.fr), évidemment sous la même license CC .

Apres l'avoir telecharge j'ai voulu l'ecouter, sans vraiment me faire d'illusion.
Et pourtant, quel choc. Une qualite musicale exceptionnelle.
Pour moi, le meilleur album que j'ai pour l'instant telecharge sur Jamendo.

Super Songs!
Jedenfalls die meisten. Einige sind weniger gut, aber das ist wohl jedem selbst überlassen;-)
Dafür das sie sich anscheinend nie getroffen habe (wie geht denn sowas?)
ist es echt sehr gelungen. Die Qualität ist top, die Lyrics, gut es ist nichts
atemberaubendes oder neues, aber nicht schlecht.
Gut finde ich Our Lives Change, The Final Rewind und Peace On Earth.
Kurz gesagt, ich bin froh das Album gefunden zu haben.

01 - The Final Rewind est un excellent départ, et l'arrangement de la 2eme partie apporte une profondeur qui magnifie la répétition du thème.
07 - Peace On Earth (Same Place), mixage audacieux et équilibré entre 3 samples (?) est, et de loin, la plage que je préfère entre toutes. Evidement, le chant, naturellement beau, est source d'inspiration. Mais il y a du génie dans l'arrangement et ce morceau à lui seul ma fait dire qu'un talent certain présidait aux potentiomètres.
Concernant les autres plage, ni Yvan ni moi ne pouvons nous prononcer. Ces musiques sont trop éloignées de notre sensibilité auditive et tout commentaire nous semble innaproprié (En fait, Yvan s'est endormi et moi je ne pensais qu'à une chose : Que ça finisse vite!). Plusieurs écoutes nous ont mis d'accord sur un point : Le joyau ne demande qu'à briller.
La note choisie ne reflète donc que notre opinion au sujet des deux morceaux cités. Une fois n'est pas coutume.

comme quoi, même les groupes pas trop connus du grand publique peuvent être très cool!
très belle voix, musicalité, rien à dire.
