About this album

  • Updated: 22/10/2011

SoLaRiS played Guitar on ' Visions Of Seraphim' 'The Great Expanse' and 'Silent Forces'. Also lead synth on 'Enchantment'.

1 Visions of Seaphim - Melodic mystic visions of seraphim

2 Electric Glide - Melodic movements coming on in waves

3 Enchantment - Psychedelic dubby space melodica to take you out there

4 The Great Expanse - Thick wedges of sound against a psychedelic rock beat. Expansive!

5 Psychosphere - Tripped out and mind melting

6 he Spaces Between The Spaces - Setting the controls for this psyched out piece. Safe journey it isn't!

7 Silent Forces - Ethereal spacey melodic guitar with elements of dangerous visions

Like the haunting guitar voice giving way to the huge bass (too much reverb?).Like the change around 1:50, nice variation when you brought the bass back in...little arps on the top...but the drums come in nicely..great rhythm at this point. Slap bass...whoa..interesting f/x on percs...vox haunting the top, the dist. guitar provides a really gutsy thump...kick holding down the bottom...nice build ..toms rolling...to 4:56 then suddenly back to the ethereal space to the end. Nice movement...builds, instruments, all sitting nicely. Fun listen. Lots to entertain in this track. back to my second listen. Love it. Thumbs!

Mind altering awesomeness as I have come to expect from SoLaRiS . This album reminds me of the old school jam sessions especially with the unrelenting bass on "Enchantment" and "Psycosphere". Loving the guitar work on these tracks : ) 'Psychosphere' would have been an awesome track for "2001 A Space Odyssey" Pick a scene ! It would work anywhere with ease ... "The Spaces Between The Spaces " I love it ! Reminds me of Techno with that beat ,Also the very unrelenting force coming from the overall track . Great tune to play racing games to! The last track "Silent Force" Freaking good stuff ! loving the Bass and the drums on this. And lets not to forget the guitar! very cool track ! I like all the tracks - Track 2 "Electric Glide" Seems like the weakest track on this LP. That is just a matter of personal preference . And I Like the track anyway ! So what the hell am I saying? I must still be affected by this excellent music ! Can't make up my mind for a favorite track yet . It's a tossup between - "Enchantment" ,"The Great Expanse" ,"The Spaces Between The Spaces",And "Visions of Seaphim"

Eerie and enticing . . . an explosion . . . a vision in the ears and mind's eye blasted into being by sounds that expand and contract like cells on mind altering drugs . .. and creating colorfully glowing mental images that follow a pattern of flow and retraction . . like electric currents carried along a track into the darkness of space . . . laying down the map of the stars . . . creating a multitude of focal points . . . inhabiting that which does not exist . . . like the creation of a cosmos . . . or a super bang . . . where we float free waiting to be and thus we become . .. .
