pharmacopia's new album "Fabric" marks the live debut of the band in a trio configuration at CakeShop in New York City. Joining Peter Dragotta and Andres Marino is the legendary saxophonist/trumpeter Daniel Carter. Their improved based music as always stretches beyond any typical genre. On this set Dragotta who's orchestral soundscapes on the EWI get a much welcomed addition with Carter by also remixing his sax and trumpet on the fly during the set. Together they create beautiful tapestries of both their distinctive sound. Behind all this is the sonic foundation of Marino's voice and expression on guitar; he is vivid throughout dancing between the harmonious and the harsh.
Improvisation is key with pharmacopia's musical explorations yet at its core it is mostly composed with the use of a computer program written by Dragotta that uses a means of converting digital images into musical midi and controller data. Not just any image. Dragotta and Marino have developed a unique eye to identify what will be heard. To better see the visual component to their music by listening, just look at the titles of their tunes and add your imagination.

Please stay courteous and be sincere (for good and bad!). It can be an interesting read for others, but only if it is constructive and doesn't disparage the artist.
Please write about the music itself and don't be too hard on the sound quality of some demos.
