A good swing, great blues feel. Well recorded blues based rock. Plenty of energy. Well worth a listen if you are into festival/pub guitar music. Especially notable for a light, danceable, rhythmic feel good pop. Love it!

Ramshackle bluesy melodic rock with neat guitar riffs and top class vocals.Great musicianship..no showing off..just creative musicians producing compelling rhythmic rock well honed and smooth. The album contains consistently innovative songwriting that gives Calle N a vitality and relevance that elevates them above the normal. Recommended.

Too young to die, but definitely, never too old for Rock'n'Roll.

"Smoke on the water" and "Child In Time" from the band Deep Purple, were my first musical crushes and even without realizing clearly why at the time, the first denouncing chords, the appealing riffs and the poignant vocals were in the front line of my young interest. However, it didn't take long to understand that those appellative details, which many times don't last more than the time of a single listen, are often nothing more than just a starter motor of a bigger gear with a lot more to consider and which when properly oiled, can provide a whole different world of higher satisfactory accomplishment. I spent hours, literally, sitting in front of my sound system, which at the time wasn't even really that good, enjoying the stereo, the different sounds and all the instrumental interaction. Pleasure grow in time, while simultaneously the degree of exigence, even if somehow restricted to my short material possibilities and somewhat limited availability of up to date releases, also grew with it. Despite of my posterior understanding that songs like "Smoke On The Water" aren't really an out of this world kind of thing, like I figured then, the fact is that it still pleases me and constitutes undeniably a reference in time and a lighthouse. The reason for these, somehow long introductory notes, is not directly related to any sort of flagrant influence or similarity with the music here presented. In fact, as far as my perception goes, apart from the overall similitudes which can be related to the style, generically speaking, nothing more points in that direction. However, the quantity and quality of the guitar riffs, along with some generosity of solos, the inventive and competent work of the drums, the perfect continuous dialog, even somewhat challenging at times from the bass and the adequate, capable and well integrated vocals... not meaning to forget the lyrics, which are practical yet not superfluous... brought me a strong remembrance and satisfaction, just like the one I used to have those days of youth, where life was wider and rock'n'roll ruled. Well, despite some more or less obvious limitations... which don't interfere with an also honest appreciation... and as for the case of this extremely creative work... it still rules.
