Structurally not complex, however, somehow a bit dashing and on that account, also extremely absorbing.

More than through a notion of qualitative superiority or idea of complex elaboration, some musics have an immense power of captivating our attention, on a first impact, by a strong and unconventional personality that it conveys and that quite often don't relate with any form of association to the most common and accessible notions of beauty and pleasure. As in love, the strongest and enduring passions, don't always manifest right away and often start merely by an imperceptible detail or a random act of momentary attention. I have no doubt about all its inherency with quality... I also have no doubt about all its contained beauty... but I'm sure that more than a simple and easy offer of beauty and pleasure, it's a very gratifying proposal of discovery and even somewhat an adventure, that is primarily responsible for captivating our attention. And depart in its discovery, will simply become the beginning of a lasting passion, thus we accept the offer.

I very much like the melodic inventiveness in this album. The Perdition track was completely satisfying from beginning to end. I had some problems with the first track Tides because there was an acoustic incompatibility between the strong chordal rhythms of the first half and the delicate melodic lines and arpeggios in the second half. I had to adjust the volume manually to accommodate those changes. (I've had these kinds of mixing problems in my own music so I know how easily they can happen.) I'd like to hear a re-mix of Tides that adjusts for volume and also achieves a smooth transition between the first half of the composition and the second.

A bientôt ?
