About this album

"Por el tiempo y el espacio" es mi segunda producción discográfica. En ésta incluí canciones de mi primer disco, "Verdad infinita", así como canciones nuevas. "Por el tiempo y el espacio" fue grabado en directo, durante los días 23 y 24 de mayo de 2003, en el Teatro 1887 del Centro Nacional del Arte y la Cultura (CENAC), en San José, Costa Rica.

En esa ocasión estuve acompañado por María Pretiz (piano), Roy Coto (bajo), José 'momo' Valverde (percusión) y Jonathan Albuja (flautas).

La edición y mezcla corrió por cuenta de Carlos "pipo" Chaves y mi persona.

Además, para que este disco fuera una realidad, conté con el respaldo del Centro Cultural y de Cooperación para América Central de la Embajada de Francia, de la Alianza Francesa, de HIVOS (agencia de cooperación de los Países Bajos) y de Radio U (emisora de la Universidad de Costa Rica)

Te quedó un álbum bellísimo, suave, muy bien producido. Muy buenas letras y una música bellísima también. Bravo.

La simplicité à l'état pure; voilà à quoi me fait penser cette album. Une voix, une guitare, et la magie s'opère. En écoutant cet album, on se sent bien. Un grand moment de bonheur à découvrir absolument

His voice is raw and rough.. but his heart is pure and open.. and so sincere and so passionate... that it hurts..On hearing him sing..With such sentiments and purity of emotions..That are real and very down to earth and amazing.. I was bewitched by his aura and power he held all over me..And the acoustic guitar.. Just bonded it all perfectly together for me.. and I soaked up everything he gave me..and day dreamed and was enchanted and charmed by the gift of a human voice and its amazing emotions and feelings it can make you feel. As well as the simplicity of the music that support it..

este álbum debe tener una advertencia,¡prepárate para suspirar! porque cada cancion lleva un manojo de realidad afinada a una sutileza conmovedora.

Je suis déjà un afficionado de Silvio Rodriguez, le père de la nueva trova cubana et là l'influence est évidente ! Bravo pour la poésie et l'émotion, ces chansons à textes sont bien sûr chargées de messages, et même celui qui ne les comprends pas peut le ressentir par la beauté simple des mélodies. Te agradezco para ese paseo en tu mundo, tu poesía y la dulzura de tus composiciones. Se nota que fuiste inspirado por Silvio Rodriguez y Pablo Milanes. Espero que no pares de cantar !

With haunting piano,ethereal flute and soul wrenching trova this is truely an album to be savoured over and over again.The tortured soul of a voice (etched forever in the musical part of my heart) is the closest sound to Victor Jara I have heard to date. A gamut of emotions ran free for the album's complete length - nearly an hour - and the audience were clearly enraptured as Monge flooded them with his mesmeric voice and arresting presence so laid back and at ease.A lyrical experience.
