How nice it is to hear the flute and the other instruments used with these, most gorgeous, melodies that were shared on this album. . . This album is from 2005 . . I especially loved "In the Zytras' wood" which carried long beautiful notes with the flute and the harpsichord . . .the keyboarding was very lovely and very well done. I was impressed by the artist's ability to paint such vivid colors and images with the music . . . This album's gorgeous songs were devised to create in the imagination of the listener a fairy tale land . .. of exotic and enchanted beings .. .. The artist caught the true nature of these things, such as "Giants" and "Through the storm" with their music . . . plumbing the depths of musical ideas and building shapes and emotions with their compositions. I was quite enthralled by this album and stunned by its musical beauty. A musical tale . . . told very well indeed! Truly Outstanding! - Wolfsong

It's not a bad album, but rather disjointed. I see that some reviewers didn't like it at all, although I think some of the dislike may be based on a misunderstanding. I see a review that says "this is not opera". In Italian "opera" simply means "work", not the English/French usage which means "upmarket musical." In this context "Opera 1" simply means "my first work", so don't expect Wagnerian shouting and crashing. I like "Forest's creature", I don't like the pitch bending on several of the tracks it just reminds me of a damaged record player. But there are some interesting ideas struggling to get out. I'm not a fan of the faery tale in this sort of context, it's all a little twee. But despite this, the album has good moments and it's worth listening to at least once. Probably not a keeper though, I can see that if you invited some friends in and played this they would nod at you politely while edging towards the nearest exit.
