Meleliale is an improvising collective that never rehearses - its sessions are all performances. Some work is prepared as structured improvisations, or themes worked out beforehand, but mostly it is spontaneous sounds and melodies.

Je mets un petit 9/10. - surtout grâce au morceau "Cat Familiars"
Ca m'a beaucoup fait penser à "Robots in Disguise" et "Silence Poets" avec un coté impro en plus;
bref, j'ai adoré

When I listen to this album I imagine a bunch of dudes sitting on rugs in a place with dim lights full of ethnic instruments and ganga smoke. Good artistry, bold ideas, full of creativity. Though you may get a little disoriented while listening - worth a listen.
The logo is absolutely ingenious.
ich höre das album bestimmt schon zum siebten mal und weiss immer noch nicht, wie ich es beschreiben soll. wenn das bei velvet underground damals alles frauen gewesen wären, vielleicht - auch ein bischen vom psych-folk a la incredible string band inspiriert. angeblich sind das ja improvisationen, aber einiges klingt doch so, als wenn sich die mitglieder des kollektives sehr gut kennen. die stücke haben einen fremden, mytsischen touch. beim improvisieren kommen ausser stimmen auch alle möglichen instrumente zum einsatz. das ganze strahlt trotzdem ein trotzige ruhe aus und kommt dabei aber mit erstaunlich wenig elektronik aus.

Musique bien agréable pour une soirée de lecture. L'air est frais, les sonorités également. C'est très plaisant..
