New
a live set I played in 2007
best downtempo track
ambient/downtempo
but really Phon is about experimental beats and arrangements }:-]|
techno/electronica/idm Earliest work and probably most "finished"
(track one of bSides is poorly produced)
my current favourite work - though rough around the edges
"remixes the beatles"
a recent attempt with some interesting ideas
"peaceful sinerave"
a recent ambient attempt - not up to standard with the old work
The best stuff is my early stuff "clatterbang" and "acidphon"
enjoy

Phonic you are underated artist. Quite interesting pieces of music you make! I dont know what but sometimes it seems as if I have heard this or that piece somewhere. Not every song though! But some.
When I first visited this album page I was astonished to see the 'album art'. I thought maybe this album contains some wild dancing music.....ancient dancing (you know that ha hoo ha..) or as if people have enjoyed the festival of 'holi' and are now ready to take on the dance floor.
Recording quality of some songs are little weak.
Scratch my alien, pune, my ip op my favorites.
Here have some phonicbooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom my friends...dont get away from this page by watching the album art.........it contains something else.................
There is some really good stuff on this album and on bsides, but they're both a bit uneven and I think I would enjoy them more if the better songs from each were combined.
The Best Tracks are
Orn
Paroxysm
Une
and
Dyna.
Well... not bad. Quite good actually. Even better than "havephonwithacid". Not every track is equally good, I agree that the sound quality could be better - they sound a little "raw". But, the compositions are creative and entertaining. I listened with pleasure, downloaded it and for sure will return.
The best tracks for me:
01 antia - I like the "train speeding up" effect.
02 clancin - I like the way the melody is "broken".
07 my ip op - nice chaotic mess.
13 une - completely psychedelic.
Oh, one thing.
I won't scratch your alien, you freak. Forget it! ;-P
I really like the ideas behind some of the tracks. In general tracks seem to lack clarity of sound, and more importantly for me, the full spectrum. It sounds like I'm listening to it through laptop speakers, when in all actuality I'm using some pretty nice headphones. I think that if some better samples were used, and more effects were present I would enjoy this album much more than I do, but not to say that I don't enjoy it. It's still pretty good. Give it a try.
For some reason I only like the last track of this album. Must be my Psy-vein.
Most of the other tracks seem to have a bad bass-non_bass ratio. or are strangely 'timed'.. well, they're not 'melodic' to me. Which seems to be important for me for liking a track for some reason.
The sounds are cool in any case. I guess more experimenting could randomly result in something I'd give better reviews about ^^ - of course music should be aimed to stimulate the artist, not the audience ;) (I'm not even sure if this is ironically or seriously meant)
Yes, I think I like "une" very much now.
lets hit the bed now....
sick dude like the track antia.. pretty sweet
It's good to meet artist that researches his own way instead of just following the herd, though the result is very questionable. This stuff is very singular so it's impossible to describe it in usual terms, you need to listen to this yourself. One thing is sure - this is not a pop album, recommended only for ears that can appreciate innovative and unconventional approach to music. The artist needs though to give more importance to sound quality.
My favorite items were 5 and 6.
