About this album

  • Updated: 23/11/2007

These songs are inspired from my recently expanded training in the Alexander Technique. These ambient atmospheres and guitar textures are meant to accompany and encourage the experience of letting your muscles stop working and while laying on your back, allowing gravity to restore your natural skeletal structure. Hopefully this may be of some benefit to others who hope to restore there natural bodily form. Enjoy! Feedback appreciated at paulshuler@gmail.com

Brilliant orthodox ambient. What I mean by "orthodox"? I mean it strictly follows the rules - it's completely devoid of rhythm, very relaxing, silent, dreamy, atmospheric, the sounds just flow by peacefully. Truly meditative tunes. Usually I don't like such played-by-rules ambient, because very often it is boring and uncreative. Ambient artists tend to think that it suffices to extend the chords, put in some silent passages and the masterpiece is ready. Not so fast. One more element is required. And this element is called the "talent". Macroform has plenty of it. Come and taste it.

I found this via the Alextech mail-list and it's really great for semi-supine! I don't usually listen to music when I'm lying down, but this just somehow works - I can feel myself resonating and releasing with the sounds. Thanks
