Dear Listener,

SCHISM WITH AXIOMS (strange name, isn't it? Don't remember what I had in mind as I choose this name) is half an electronic pop album and half an old Berlin School album. Back in 1996 it was an audio tape with the "pop songs" on the a-side and the others on the b-side.
KLANGWELT/WELTKLANG was the first piece of music I made with a sampler. SPHYGMOGRAM and WALKAROUND are definitiv pop songs and I had a lot of fun with them.
SLOW I really like 'cause of the strong and deep drum pattern and the organ sound from the Korg Wavestation. But LILY is a little bit tawdry, isn't it?
ASCENSION is one of my film endtitles or closing themes for movies that never been made. Something like "the princess was safed by the unafraid hero, but the hero died in her arms". Well, uh, possibly maybe...
COME HERE is just an intro to the "b-side" and the track DESCENT an old Berlin School track with just a long sequence. And it sounds a little bit like a melancholic version of KRAFTWERK's AUTOBAHN. VORTEX is another old Berlin School track and the first track I made for this album in 1995.
AUSKLANG is just an outro.

Gefällt mir sehr gut. Meine Lieblingstracks sind: Sphygmogram uns Walkaround. Diese Songs haben echt Klasse und könnten sehr bekannt sein... Elektro Pop gehört sonst nicht all zu sehr zu meinen Lieblingsrichtungen, weil ich bisher noch nicht viel Gutes gefunden habe. Endlich dieses Album! Ich könnte mir deine Musik in Filmen und in der Werbung vorstellen! Ach: Ascension gefällt mir auch ausgesprochen gut. Wie du deine Stücke aufbaust und immer wieder anderes einbringst, macht es zu etwas Besonderem!

Excellent album que celui çi.Musique électronique certes, mais renouvelée et très vivante;ainsi Walkaround ou Sphygmogram frais ,pétillant et léger,Descent où le leitmotiv rappelle étrangement Autobahn de Kraftwerk(c'est le seul point commun, le reste est complètement différent),le très mélodique Ascension, l'inquiétant Come Here ou même le sublime Vortex d'inspiration très Klaus Schulze.En résumé, un très bel album de musiques et d'ambiances colorées qui lui donne une étonnante vivacité.Par contre, la pochette donne pas vraiment envie d'écouter.

What's in a name? I think bearing in mind what the artist has told us in terms of the disparities over time of creation of these various tracks, that they actually form a really nice album, with variation but more especially a vein of dedication wending its way through the artists physiognomy. Good job done!-)

Beaucoup de sonorités différentes plus ou moins bien réussies.Henk cherche, expérimente et cela donne de bons moments comme Slow, Lily( dont la rythmique fait irrésistiblement penser à Kraftwerk) ou Vortex( très Berlin School, proche de Schulze).Et il faudrait vraiment avoir les oreilles complètement bouchées pour ne pas percevoir un énorme potentiel artistique.
