Humour. Pristine production. Great performances. Difficult to classify… let’s try with avantgarde, jazzy, electro, loopy, ambient with teeth, noise and much more … Hell! You can even dance along with these crazy tunes. Can a single album contain all this? Music world must be totally mad when such artists give for free this enormous work of love. Words are not enough, give it ears!.

sometimes music is weird and searching for bounderies too much so that it ain't music no more. But this album doesn't do that. It's sounds quiet like 70 psychedelic rock in my view full of strange samples hammond organ and guitar-noises.More importantly with a lot of care for detail. it's weird but in a very listenable sense and it sounds good. The first track is quiet noise/ambient like, i don't like the voice-drone in the backround, it's not a rich sound. but the track is evolving and getting better on the way. the rest of the tracks are groovy, open, very atmospheric and detailed. But nothing is annoying in any of them. Most folks think i listen to weird music, but for me this music is just a little experimental and especially very atmospheric, sometimes even melancholic. hee...that's almost the same thing I'm trying to do here... ;) i like it, and recommend it to folks that are into fsol-ambient and/or psychedelic 70s rock ;)

Un album presque conceptuel aux nombreux phrasés experimentaux et surprises instrumentales eclectiques. Une grande richesse sonore qui convient bien à cette heure crépusculaire L'album m'a plu,voilà tout En toute modestie ,merci Mitakuyé Oyasin

... sollte man schon, wenn man sich "Weird Speciaists" zu Gemüte führt. Hin und wieder ist man versucht, Klang-Klischees auszumachen, die einen zwar kurze Zeit zum mitgrooven lassen, dann aber - lange bevor Langweiligkeit zum Zuge kommen kann - in Absurdität zusammenbrechen und dabei die Schmunzelmuskulatur nicht zwingend schonend behandeln. Auch das Instrument "komische Elektronik" ist hier mit Meisterschaft und Experimentierfreude zum besten gegeben. Jedenfalls wird es dem Zuhörer an so gut wie keiner Stelle langweilig - und das auch nach mehrmaligem Hören noch nicht: Kleine Details gibt es immer wieder zu entdecken - und das ist für mich eines (unter vielen) Kriterien guter Musik. Wieder eine neue, wandernswerte Route für Hörerlebnisreisende; meine Empfehlung.

Die Art von Musik ist nicht mein Stil. Das Album klingt gut - ist aber meiner Meinung nach sehr langweilig. Es fehlt der Wahnsinn! Man wartet ständig auf ein Ereignis das nicht eintrifft. Ich gebe 7 Punkte weil es vielleicht Leute gibt die auf die Musikrichtung stehen. Schlecht ist es ja nicht!

Avant-garde is appropriate in a sense, but I like the term 'postmodern' and think it fits this fine blending of music that just courses over you, like a torrent of talent. Curious genre allocation, as it's termed 'uneasy' listening and I'm at quite at home with this. So, what does that make me, if I feel perfectly in tune with this brilliant music? To be fair there are moments of traditionalism, but like I said, subtle melding indeed. Possibly I sense my own uneasiness, dis-ease, dis-tance. Specialists have that effect on me... Everything it states it will be, par excellence. Nice work!-) Stunning experimentalism.

Disk very uncommon, there is comparison not for the sake of one command! It is healthy!

Une bien belle réalisation,pleine de recherches abouties. Une véritable expérience.

Album très intéressant, varié et créatif, avec des guitares, beaucoup de delay et d'effets, nappes de synthé, drums hypnotiques, basse bien lourde, orgue hammond ... du Krautrock de bonne facture. Bon c'est sur ça ne va pas plaire à beaucoup de monde ! Bravo RTBS. 2/3/2008 : J'adore cet album ! à chaque écoute je découvre de nouvelles choses ! donc je rectifie ma note : 10.

Je passerais sur le nom d'artiste à rallonge un tantinet prétentieux (Balthasar, franchement! ;-) pour parler plus longuement de la musique. Rainer Thelonius etc puise avec beaucoup de discernement dans les vieux pots de la musique expérimentale et progressive underground pour composer ses morceaux, souvent plus proche cependant de la cuisine inspirée que de la véritable création, on retrouve les premiers Tangerine Dream, Van Der Graaf Generator, National Health, etc... 'A special Beer for Narcoleptics' par exemple c'est 'Journey Through a Burning Brain', 'Fook Yew/People Who Annoy You' c'est 'A Place to Survive', 'Detlev on Drugs' c'est 'Squarer for Maud'... les dépouilles sont belles, mais elles semblent avoir perdu une partie de leur substance. Un fort agréable moment nonobstant.
