Some of this album has an early 90s new age/electronic feel to it and reminds me of Tangerine Dream and, to a lesser extent, early Recoil production. The rest is impressively diverse and I love some of the atmospheric synthesizers.

SoLaRiS always does a spectacular job on their music . . in my listening pleasure I sense a seamless flight through the cosmos . . we flew . . no we soared through all the heavenly spaces where dreams and visions appear through the song and the eyes of the gods . . .
Excellent electro/ambient concept album.
I like very much some bass line, very "organic", especially on Ankh. The eponym track. The 12 gates, got a great ambience from start and devellop nicely, some noise/Fx sounds give a little "indus" after taste, then around 6' we enter a cool world, great sound treatment. and then from 9'30 a long "buid up" well done.
A nice overall album, like the concept.

I picked this album at random (I like to do blind picks for new stuff) and was really impressed with it. It is very traditionally 'new age' at first, but the music really speaks for itself. Definitely worth a listen is you like world music influenced electro ambiance.
