Tracks 1-4 (BDD Parte 1 I-IV): Just slips you by through it's own desolation, until it reaches Parte III... wake up!-) It looks like it's going to be another dreary day. Nevertheless, let's get on with it. RelatiVitality (interlude?). Then, Deux filles I-IV: Starts boldly, a touch darker than expected with some nice synthetic flourishes and part 1 ends on a strongly. Then it flows into those deep pools of electronic ambience, but keeping the theme strong still, in part II. Back to some sombre ambience this time, slowly unfolding into a reprise, reasserting the theme of the piece on the whole. Triad seems to form another interlude, in preparation for BDD Parte 2: I-III. Actually, it doesn't prepare at all but in fact gives you the wrong impression (might have been better without that last track (Triad), it seemed a bit out of place? Chronoscopium brings us back to the genres, darker, ambient, minimalist, until Parte 2 explodes in your face with a crossover track, again strong and confident and somewhat 'analog'. Parte III, is simply a re-interpretation, I think of both the previous tracks. Sea of Clusters I-IV works well as a set and is an interesting experiment in it's own right. It even makes more sense of Triad! 'Y...' I-III back to ambience. There's kind of a sense of 'what the heck'. I see at least one complete album, two EPs and a couple of extra tracks thrown in for good measure. This isn't to say I don't like it, parts are very well done but it's too obviously mixed and doesn't quite blend.
