Bravo !

The first Song I thought of the Film Star Wars, good vs. evil, perhaps it is simply because only because I've seen the Film yesterday, good album and the songs would do well as film music, good, thank you!

Mother's Nature...

Symphony No.1 starts elegantly, and then the percussion comes into play to give it it's sense of pace, like a terse statement of how things are going to be. The string work matches the stride and speed of the piece admirably well, filling it with a fine construction of lovely sounds. This it seems is quite a naturalistic form. The ringing like dewdrops falling from lofty leaves of a fine beech tree in a forest, where no one else might hear it. The tone changes slightly, lending itself to the darker side of a view nature perhaps, with a good sense of drama and scale of the larger workings of the universe towards the end. The second track emphasises this liveliness of nature it seems, and I cannot shake the remembrance of Beethoven's 6th from my head. So I sense a tribute to the pastorale, with the second movements attitude, life after all is a busy force that goes on with or without us as sentient beings. How we choose to interact is up to us. In the middle I am reminded of a profound track from the Pig vs. Sow album, J'maime. However, that darkness is replaced with a profoundly paced and nicely flowing percussion led exuviae. The third movement has a leisurely air and form, without losing the dramatic essence in the slightest. The upper layers again seem to be a tribulation of all that surrounds us in such a forest of musical magic. A beautiful, slow tribute at that, quite aerial, if not aetheric. Again, the percussion is very strong here and seems to dominate, like a storm it comes and clears the air for the following emphasis of symphonic collaboration of instrumentation. Still the organic feel persists, though I find it hard to define (this is my effort in subjectivism). The Animato movement brings to mind maybe the word I have been searching for in the preceding piece, gallant. There is a nobility to this agility of music making, almost a medieval air that seems to be confirmed with the wind instruments coming into play. An animation in a very natural sense, why I think Beethoven's Nr.6 enters my mind repeatedly. The fifth movement seems to confirm this broad expanse of music capturing the essence of the breadth of nature to its extensive boundaries, and underlined with the upper layers of intonation. Again, a referral through percussion to the wonderful passion that the Mother of this world can instil in a heart seeking the truth and a meaning of a life that begs questioning. This organicity is profoundly captured in all its depth here, from the very bottom of a searching soul upwards into the sometimes querulous nature of human consciousness. Who are we indeed to question? Things sometimes just are, however unsettling that may be. We have no real rights to govern this world, more that we should learn to live with it, not even in the sense of a partnership, even that seems audacious, but a reverent symbiosis and respectful collaboration. In this sense, this is quite a commanding piece of this first Symphonie and if I am anywhere close to the truth of conception, quite rightly so. A superb work all in all, and a fine movement to end on. Deeply touching and eminently well performed.
