I Play Music asserts itself from the start and soon kicks off into a nice rolling sound. The movement of the structure is accessible and filled well with synthetic blending of noise and percussion. Breath Out is a lovely, minimalist piece of lo-fi with perfect vocals, and I prefer instrumental music mostly. There is a nice, mid-paced feel to Day Dreamer. Another nice blending of genres, nicely done, it's quite an achievement to satisfy a demanding listener. LIT has a very nice resonance to it, with some nice breaks, moulding and sculpting the apparent scope of the talented ability of Sum-1, with nice wide confident strokes. Both inter- and intra- are covered in terms of diversity. A Lonely Knight, was also usually a poor one, so in historical context a potentially pretty miserable existence. This track is constructed in a curious and different way, blending the 'rock' element well with the technoid. Almost symphonic in places and it conveys a sense of such a way of life, I think. What a Psycho Thump indeed, very powerful to start and developing into a weirdly structured track that suits it subject matter perfectly well. It's worth listening to just for the actual thump. Nice one! Redman (Psycho Mix) is quite a mellow piece of idm experimentation. It picks up and almost bounces you along, with a blues/jazz feel. Rock The Beat starts very electronically, with voice loops, and launches you into a thumping foam party. Again, a totally different sounding track, full of its own flourishes and sidetracks. Quite simple in places, as are most of the tracks, but still retaining that inveterate power to convey musical talent into an expressive form. Lastly, there is Rug Ratz, after all the voice looping, turns into a jolly little experiment in music. Nice light finish to the collection. Overall, I loved it, nice variety of musical genres blended with consumate skill that seems to be full of confidence and the will to be daring with the noises constructed thus. Thanks!-)
