About this album

  • Updated: 09/06/2008
This is the first of at least two volumes containing older LarG Productions works. It contains a diversity of genres spanning folk, punk, ska, hiphop, funk, etc. Most of the tracks have been somewhat retooled, although still retain a more indie characteristic than our current work.
The tracks of this album are published under a Creative Commons licence, check the licence associated to each track.

I heard "Reagan" on the jamendo hip hop radio, and I was sold. Word perfect socially critical lyrics, flawless samples, and instrumentation that has me nodding and smiling. Bits and pieces of a lot of genres here, and it's never clear where one starts and where one ends. A few parts remind me of Beck, only better. Generally, I avoid anything that attempts to bridge hip hop and rock (no thanks, nu metal!): but this stuff works, even managing to make me like the ska flavored bits (<-- high praise), and when you break down into harder rock, it doesn't suck and feels original. Thanks for sharing. Keep it up, this stuff rocks --- I am definitely listening to the rest of your albums. I can't wait to see what you come up with next! --michaelb
