Motion Picture is Son Electronique's 2nd release on Jamendo.
All tunes were written between June 2007 and December 2007 and were mixed in spring 2008. They were inspired by motion pictures from cinema and motion pictures in my mind.
Babylon
This tune was inspired by Betty Elm's arrival to Los Angeles in David Lynch's masterpiece Mulholland Drive as well as by my own arrival there on a winter night in 2005.
No Hay Banda
Impressed by the surreal scene from Lynch's motion picture Mulholland Drive at the Club Silencio where Betty and Rita watch the heartbreaking performance of Rebecca Del Rio, "La llorona de Los Angeles" with her Spanish sung a-capella version of Roy Orbisons "Crying" ("Llorando").
Victorious
This tune is dedicated to the famous German Formula 1 driver Wolfgang Graf Berghe von Trips who died in an accident at the Monza Grand Prix in 1961.
Walk In The Park
Inspired by a walk thru the Park an der Ilm in Weimar, Thuringia on a beautiful day in autumn 2007.
Always Paris
As Bogie says in the famous motion picture Casablanca: "We'll always have Paris".
Take Me Home
The idea to this tune came to me after an outstanding concert from the voice of Supertramp, Roger Hodgson in Frankfurt in November 2007.
What is home? This night I wanted to go home not feeling very good walking thru the uncomfortable city of Frankfurt. The songs of Roger took me back to my youth, so maybe that's home.
6980, Mulholland Drive
This is a reprise for No Hay Banda as it uses the same chord structure. I am very impressed by this motion picture even though I don't really have an idea about it.
Keep The Night Alive
In memory of the old Poison Club near Duesseldorf's main station, in the neighbourhood of Kraftwerk's famous Kling Klang-Studio. In the mid-90's it was one of the best clubs with House and Techno.

Please stay courteous and be sincere (for good and bad!). It can be an interesting read for others, but only if it is constructive and doesn't disparage the artist.
Please write about the music itself and don't be too hard on the sound quality of some demos.
