Dinner for one

A 10-track album with some of the finest songs in acoustic rock-music. It starts with the smart-ass riff based 'Dinner for One' with its bombastic finish and one of the best end-screams of music history. This song is followed by the slightly engrossed 'Haiku' with a mosh-part you wouldn't think an acoustic guitar is capable of. The next song, 'Amity We Should Give' with its melodic intro brings you down again and the smooth rhythm of the chorus gives you a feeling of lightness. Without going into detail about the following songs, it can be safely said that there are some real pearls of acoustic rock amongst them. Everyone will find some more songs to fall in love with on the album. The closer, 'Touching your Breath', finally is a real pleasure for your ears and your mind. It gives the album a warm ending and a feeling of coming home.

Dynamic, heavy, and driving.

For something so acoustic driven, this band definitely has something - they create a sound that is, undoubtedly, heavy and strong, in sharp contrast to the light, airy connotation the term 'acoustic' generally possesses. With lots of interesting time signatures and sounds, a multi-layered musical pallete, and strong, dynamic vocals, this band is slightly reminiscent of the sort of heavy neo-prog of bands such as Tool. Acoustically driven and accessible, they still create a sound that is unique, dynamic, and strong. And although at times they fall into the pit of generic alt-rock crooning, they generally manage to pull themselves back out again with their superb instrumentation and unique songcraft. For an independent band, very professional, and indeed, very promising.

I love rock in every shape and color that is presented to me but when is performed in this manner and professionalism it blows me away honestly you guys are with in the best rock band I heard lately it's obvious that you take pry on your music and that's reflected on your performance that goes to Fil,Judith and Michi on vocals I don't know why but you guys reminded me of metallica when they first came out with ride the lightning album I Felt in love with them then now you guys got me in same spot that they did back then Is my understanding that everybody understand my point of view now the instruments such as guitars, bass and drums well I just got to say awesome riffs out of this planet getting down and heavy the way I like it beautiful acoustics interpretation on amity we should give along with the banging of Willy on the drums My God what a talent on you bro and then to top it all Roman sealed the brilliant on this album with his interpretation of the personality and soul of wonderful rock band...Love you guys forever. DINNER FOR ONE ROCK'S!!! Love and Peace SuNSiGi

Male vox are not so great. Creative guitar work and am enjoying the East Indian riffing style. One favorite track is 'Letters To God', as the female accompaniment makes for a much better, over all sound. 'Sour Song' track; good name for that one. It appears they went for a Nirvana sort of sound, but the male vocals are a failure. 'Touching Your Breath' has a nice folksy sound and again, the female vocalist makes this song special. 'Touching Your Breath' is by far the best arrangement on this entire album - truly an epic sound with this one.
