cet album ne laisse pas indifférent, belle mélodie, et la voix du chanteur me rappelle certains interprètes des années soixante dix. oh nostalgie quant tu nous tiens. Mae Pyle est un morceau magnifique, superbe acoustique, il passe en boucle et mérite d'être diffusée sur les programmes de radios au lieu de la soupe qui nous est parfois servie.bravo à ces musicos qui partagent de la bonne sique.

Un album franchement sympathique, délicatement rétro, avec de belles parties de guitare et des influences seventies diversifiées. L'exercice de style est un petit peu attendu mais la plupart des titres retiennent l'attention et distille chacun leur petit parfum nostalgique ... A écouter surtout: 'Texas Sky', 'The Point' et 'Immortal' ...

...wollte mir das Album oder besser gesagt die ersten drei Titel nicht so wirklich zusagen. Ich empfand die ersten drei als irgendwie fast recht langweilig und zu langatmig. Die nachfolgenden Titel find ich nun jedoch deutlich besser und interessanter, also unbedingt weiterhören und nicht gleich aufgeben ;) Insgesamt vor allem aufgrund der guten Stimme zwischen Phil Collins und Peter Gabriel und der guten akustischen Untermalung ein solides und "gutes Album"! PS: Der elfte Titel (The Call) scheint übrigens irgendwie etwas buggy zu sein, leichte Hänger sowohl bei der MP3 als auch im Jamendo-Player :(

... cet album sonne à l'ancienne ... quelque chose comme une couverture douillette que l'on monte sur les épaules pour s'y blottir dans une position pré-hivernale ... à l'abri du temps ... ... c'est sucré ... ... en plus ... ... idéal quand on est enrhumé ...

Album gefällt mir gut; es bietet nette Hintergrundmusik und verdient daher das Label "easy listening", für mehr ist die Musik vielleicht etwas flach und eintönig. Ist allerdings besser als manches, was man von freien Künstlern kennt, daher auf jeden Fall ein Probehören wert!

This album is what can happen when a singer-songwriter with extraordinary talent and insight does not sell out to commercial interests. The arrangements and matter of fact delivery have drawn comparison to Peter Gabriel, with the folk rock appeal of Steven Stills. I also hear the plain truth of icons like Gordon Lightfoot and Harry Chapin. The guitar/voice songs at the end deserve special consideration, and really need to be heard by as many thoughtful people as possible. I predict that Val Davis will soon take his place among significant musical artists of the generation. Leto Byrd
