Affluenza, quirky keyboards and bass with a smattering of percussion. Quite a mellow, slightly off-kilter track. Two minutes in and it has changed form, with bass predominating and melody lain over the top. The end is almost manic. I liked it!-) Holy Mother Hindlay is a complete track from the start and I like the additions as they pop into the mix and release their variations. Lovely focus on the beat and rhythm about half way in that breaks back into the groove smoothly. Rohypnol is ace from the start, nicely paced and filled with suitable sounds and rhythms. I like the bass riff and the piano brings in a nice ambience. Lots of cool diversity in the second half of the match. Very Plath sounds like a primordial soup bubbling away, with some deep movements underneath. The bass line stands out again, with a nice mellow keyboard layer. I could read The Bell Jar over again with a new slant on the book. Flourishes of synthetic noise come in about halfway, and strum for a while, then a roaring chorus to complete the track. Hot Hello sounds brilliant from the start. Rhythm kicks in and synth sounds resounding. There's that bassline again, leading the way, leaving the other elements of the track to wander here and there, forming a melodious industry. Nice track, I like. Ending captured the essence of how I am feeling right now! Non-Doctor is a well-balanced, very accessible track, with an understated melody that weaves its way around the rhythm structures. Quite chilled. Song 7 has an oriental tang, will it be sweet and sour? Percussion and bass start us off with a light melody, that is quite jolly. Drums come in and fill the gap as the track explores its own possibilities. Nice variations on the theme of 7, my lucky number. Sisters At The Wheel, has a lovely unique rhythm, coupled with various instrumentation. Bass is strong again and gives a good foundation for the flourishes and changes the track goes through. Interesting stuff. Worm worms its way out of the speakers. Bass established quickly with accompaniments, making a laid back track to start, but the pace is stepped up a bit as it goes along its merry way. Then back to the main theme, with some lovely layers. Subtle but curiously strong. Kursk seems to prove a point at last, all these tracks fit together very well as an album. It's almost like they are all related in some way. Very listenable overall and will get played again for sure. I've got a collection of about huge size so that's quite an achievement in those particular terms. Trolley has pulled it off and I've still got the remixes to listen to!-) Thanks again.

Quite unlike anything else yr likely to hear anytime soon - Takes in every type of genre and throws them into a big melting pot, a bit of a headfuck, but entertaining as hell.

First track, i'am just not sure at all, about this, a mish mash of noise of sounds - music causing meyhem. Not into sorry. 2nd track, better has got more focus. 3rd track, love the base, better by far so far checked out, nice rhythmic section, love it when it starts to get a bit more heavy metal- then lighter and romantic-cal in the music. the repetitive lyrics give it a nice twist. 4th track, got depth, deep dramatic music, love the guitar. Building up, change of key good one. with the guitar. Nice track. Fav so far!! 5th track, cool,funky,deep,bass. Great Track. 6th track, nice change in tempo, like it. Good Track. 7th track, I love the funky,dance beat, very catchy, nice. 8th track, interesting mix, puts me in mind of the matrix but much lighter tone. Then changes angle,slightly then back, good.... I like it. 9th track, love the bass guitar, lovely, nice smooth music, calming and relaxing effect, like that. 10th track, nice catchy beat at beginning, but not full sure about this one in the end. when I finish listening to it all. Left me behind after a bit.... All in all, I think this guy, is worth a listen, he does love what he is doing, and experimental music, is what its all about, finding your groove and what your good at, and this guy is good at stuff, as I have found out, check this album out.

When Matt [Trolley] suggested I should listen to this album, I was a bit hesitant because I thought it would be as bad as mine. But it wasn't. In fact, it's really is rather good even though it doesn't have any geese in it at all. It does have a tendency to become a bit wrist-slashingly depressing on occasions. But in a good way! It's a bit "Associates meets Dalek I" but without vocals. Besides, a little bird tells me that its composer spent a while here in Sunny Southampton. So the poor lad is bound to become a bit introspective from time to time. Whilst I don't think this record is a "love at first listen" thing, it is definitely an album to have a long term relationship with. I played it three times now. Best wishes, G

We promised each other to write a review, here is mine. I have tried to be honest, because that probably serves you the best. 1. Affluenza: a bit an inaccessible start, I think. Not really my taste, some parts are having a bit of ADHD as it seems. 2. Holy Mother Hindlay; this one is better, catchy intro and nice atmosphere. 3. Rohypnol: nice melody and “sound effects”. Better than track 2. 4. Very Plath: I don't really know what to thinks of this one. 5. Hot Hello: good, but sometimes it becomes a bit “to much of it”. 6. Non-doctor: pretty tunes in the beginning, but at about 2:30 it becomes “to much to handle”. 7. Song 7: good 8. Sisters at the wheel: also nice 9. Worm: that one is really nice 10. Kursk: this one is okay, but not really my taste.

This album has a unique sound to it, some parts minimalist with those classic retro sounds. Might I say some of these tracks will come alive with a lower tempo and pinch of ambiance.

I played Song 7 on the Suffolk'n'Cool podcast 134 on 10 Sept. Loads to interest in there including a quite spectacular build.
