Reviews for "Fixed Things Get Broken Twice"

Very well done album! It has structure, melody, and timbric developments. I wonder which time signatures have been used!
I liked very much the synth in "logic of a dream/nightmare" used in the second part. Probably FM synthesis?
That track is nice even for the echoes and effects applied to the drums.
"fixed / broken twice": powerful sidechain effect on the pads! Drums that have a feel of... mm.. aphex twin "druqks" album :) Love it.
"tutti i giorni che vuoi": very good, relaxing, inspiring track with perfect bass / pad / synth choice, wonderful evolution but too low kick (giusto per cercare il pelo nell'uovo).
ottimo lavoro!
Very nice, sometimes very cold digital and noisy but with glimpses of warm and reconciliatory aspects.
Fits very good with cold and solitary winter nights.
Loved it
I don't check back with Jamendo very often since most of my old favourite artists seem to have gone dormant but this time I wasn't disappointed. "Set Star" is one of my old favourite albums, and this one is even better. I don't know whether to call it unusually glitchy drum&bass or unusually catchy IDM, but either way the light melodies and tweaked-out breaks go very well together.
"Remember / Don't forgive" and "Clear lake / Blurry thoughts" are the highlights. Some of the tracks are a bit too chaotic and unstructured for a 10/10, but all are enjoyable. All in all I give it 8/10, meaning "slightly worse than perfect".
This is the kind of music I'd like to be able to write. In fact, I think you've inspired my to try. Time to hunt down some good software.
c'est exellent, planant, très travaillé.
Curiously enough, I actually suffer from several painful and involuntary muscular contractions, that aside there is an immediate sense of confidence and improvement in sound configuration. I already love the first track, ouch!-) Track two is toned nicely, the pace is good and the content better, crisper, more directed. I go for nightmare out of the two halves, but that's just me, and not a judgement on the work!-) So, a bipolarity seems faultlessly logical for such a title, and I think it works. Now, Remember Don't Forgive, though it seems a bit muted is a nice easy piece... remember... The fourth track (I lack the translation, which makes it more challenging to assess) seems almost schizophrenic, it is made of many things and still retains form as a track. Clear Lake/Blurry Thoughts is watery and emotional, but there's an airport nearby and every now and then a plane lands or takes off. And then the track takes off in a bursting flurry of sound, pulling a few loops on the way. The next track, Broken starts gloomily the rhythm bringing in the sense of having to get on with it anyway. Deep pools here potentially? Fixed/Broken Twice actually feels like a continuation, it's got a lovely pace and wholesomeness to it, it just rolls into the ears. Followed by No Sun, it's simply a good mix of noises and beats and then it steps up to the ante and gets top score, only to semi-return, followed by another flurry of a chorus. Tutti i Giorni che Vuoi (?) again starts off strong and continues, and then blows your proverbial socks off. Really like to play this loud and proud. The last track is quieter but with something substantial in the background, then BOOM it's there, strong and powerful. Top marks from me for this one. Loved it!-)
Una colonna sonora di vita.
Questa musica trasmette immagini, non solo suoni.
Sono sempre dell'idea che un pò meno di malinconia non farebbe male, ma alla fine non c'è yin senza yang.
Salvi decisamente la categoria degli architetti.
