Jazz meets electronics

This is a great combination of jazz and electronics. The jazz feel is strong and the use of electronic effects really give this a nice flavor. A couple favorites are Enter Orbit, which has an almost free feel mixed with special fx and The Angels Said, a nice sounding piece with choir voices that suddenly changes direction at the end where the sax starts to roar. According to the artist website, all the instruments and sounds are played on a keyboard which is quite amazing, especially listening to the saxophone sound. I have to admit, it had me fooled. But no matter how the sounds are made, the result is brilliant and in my mind, hope for the future of jazz.

Though always cool and elegant, jazz has a different, wider emotional range here. Instruments are mimicked in all craftmanship. Sound is taken care of in all detail, yet the composition unveils a very human ferociousness, only to bring more amplitude and taste to the whole. All songs in this album have a plot. They walk a troubled travel among, who knows, facts or fictional events, unavoidably weaving a destiny, falling into an essential end. Rage finally shows up in jazz, to say the least. Blues somehow exhibit an alien red glow here. Filmic, noir music. Philosophical yet vital, contemporary yet classical. A masterpiece. No "The Best Of" compilation from Jamendo can exist without this album. A one man band worth scores.

Difficile tentativo quello di imitare Weather Report! Risulta un pò confuso,a tratti di difficile ascolto.Ci sono però degli spunti interessanti che lasciano presagire buone cose. Credo che siate sulla buona strada.
