Sehr ordentlicher Pop, der absolut (indie-)Radio-tauglich ist. Feine Melodien, recht klassischer Song-Aufbau, gute Abmischung und dazu auch noch gekonnter Gesang - so muß Pop sein, damit er ins Ohr geht. Grundsätzlich sind die Stücke von Gitarren, Bass, Schlagzeug und Gesang getragen. Insgesamt kommen die Tracks als Baladen daher, ich könnte mir aber dennoch gut vorstellen, wie Silence is sexy live ein Publikum rocken. Ich könnte mir aber auch gut ein paar elektroniklastigere Remixe (evtl. im Stil der ReAnimation von LKP) vorstellen. Wer etwas für pop-rock übrig hat, sollte jedenfalls mal genauer in dieses Album hineinhören.

Pop/rock/indie. Nie moja bajka ale... Muzyka z dużym wyczuciem i luzem. Znakomita melodyjnie, z dobrym brzmieniem i bardzo sensownie zaaranżowana. W kategorii pop/rock wzorowo! Come Back To You (nr.1) to murowany hit przy odrobinie promocji. Więcej chyba nie warto się rozpisywać, to melodyjny rock i tyle. Warto posłuchać.

bons morceaux et musique de qualité, un chanteur qui a sa propre identité vocale. En concert, un groupe qui doit être vraiment sympa à voir. Bonne continuation.

User tags: pop nohighlights I managed to get to the start of track 5 before I couldn't take anymore. I then went straight to track 7 because a reviewer said they liked it, but unfortunately it was more of the same, or worse because of the "wall of sound" guitar effect. Somehow I endured until the end, but no part of it appealed at all, and track 10 ended the misery on a really whiny note. Ouch. I'm sure that this style of music has its fans, but I'm afraid I'm not one. This album gets classified firmly under "more non-memorable pop" for me, and I could have been more critical. On top of that, the chord progressions are just boring or indistinct, and the dynamic range is really narrow, both of which contribute to very little of musical interest. I'm afraid I can't give this album a good score.

This album raises the bar for production here on Jamendo. Everything from the drums to the guitars sounds great. The musicianship is very good as well. Unfortunately the songs sound rather bland and uninspiring to me. It's a bit disappointing considering the obvious amount of work and craftmanship involved. I give it a 7 for the quality of the recording/playing, but the songs are nothing to write home about IMHO.

un album très équilibré. une batterie quadriphonique dont la maîtrise des cymbales renforce les envolées aériennes des parties guitares. tout est annoncé dans le morceau d'ouverture et se confirme au fil de l'album. il y a des accents d'Echo & The Bunnymen dans les choeurs ; on est bien dans une ambiance pop wave, sans excès de cold ni fioritures poppy. pour saisir l'ensemble, et mesrurer la qualité très prometteuse de ce groupe ne manquez pas ces titres : Come Back To You (ouverture grandiose) / This Ain't Hollywood (morceau générique, belle ballade bittersweet) / You Are A Mirror (MON COUP DE COEUR n°2) / Closing Titles (pour sa sobriété, au final) vous êtes pressé(e) ? allez directement à Spider MON DEFINIT COUP DE COEUR n°1 !!

Gleich nach Botany Bay ist Silence is Sexy schon die zweite Band auf Jamendo, die mich wirklich tief beeindruckt. Schon der Opener "Come Back To You" legt richtig los mit einem eindringlichen Refrain und einem hypnotischen Rhythmus. Weiter geht es mit perfekt instrumentierten und einfallsreichen Melodien, die gerade in Tracks wie "Spider" ihre Verwandschaft zu Radiohead deutlich erkennen lassen. Eine solide Produktion, die sich problemlos mit kommerziellen Angeboten messen kann und die Lust auf mehr macht! Also bitte mehr davon!
