About this album

  • Updated: 06/10/2008

Earth 4572,

Our planet is ravaged by countless wars, disastrous scientific experiments and global chaos.
The main country, the Alliance of Earth decided that humanity isn't able to survive through agriculture, since most species are extinct and international trade is completely blocked.

The solution? Adapt the human body so that it can gain energy through electric current.

The project "Elektrosynthesis" has just started and I invite you to join me through the life of a human being transformed into an efficient and almost mindless biological droid.

Just ask for yourself; Is it ethically correct to change our own body to ensure survival?

Would we still be human beings?

Metamorphosis has a lovely ring to it, almost from the word go. Simple and effective with some brilliant variations on the theme of the track. Reminiscent of Shades Of Rhythm in places, who I loved. Spacedroid starts almost as you expect, but the melody comes in, quite plaintive, but works well, nice surprise with its diversity. Then we are left with the base, to which is added percussion with rhythmic flutters here and there, waiting. The synth melody returns and completes the sonic picture just right. Autopilot is very spacious and echoing, does it perfectly. Beat and rhythm fit it well. But what's in store? Some nice, accessible synth that develops well. Altogether, pretty nifty stuff. Good ending. Elektrosynthesis, again reminding me of SOR, is spot on again. Thrown together well, so I'm expecting big things from the title track. What I get is unexpected, but it works so well. Very nice electronics with some brilliant sounds. The last track, Hexanary oddly but you know it's going to work out perfectly, if it's anything like the rest of the tracks. Melody comes in strong and simple, a catchphrase that carries the song along for a bit (told you it would fit it). Bit more percussion, building for quite a mellow layer of synth, though like I said it helps bind it all the more. Suddenly, two minutes in we're on the hoof again, with some gorgeous sound. It's almost like two for the price of one. Nice one, keep up the good work Detritis, there's nothing broken down with your work!-)
