About this album
Sleepless in Dresden is a long, peaceful and relaxing track inspired by the Aria part of J.S. Bach's Goldberg Variations. The legend has it that Bach composed the mentioned variations to Count Keiserling, the former Russian ambassador of Saxony, who suffered from insomnia and thereby ordered from Bach some peaceful clavier pieces to be played in nighttime by his private musician, Johann Gottleib Goldberg.
The beautiful polyphonic interplay of Lena Selyanina's piano improvisations together with deep and calm organs, starlike high bells and other instrumentation invite the listener to embrace the cosmic beauty of starry heavens and to have a good, deep rest in the tender vibrations of cosmic love.
A 24bit/88.2kHz audiophile edition of the album is available as a torrent on Mininova.

De una suavidad exquisita... es como una pelicula personal, como caminar por las calles, como acostarse bajo el cielo abierto y contemplar las el lento viaje de las nubes. Las progresiones armónicas me remiten a la melancolía, es como una caja de amados recuerdos...

floating away.... such a wonderful piece delivered again by Doc and Lena, they're getting only better. This is so beautiful played and composed, that every classic but also very contemporary musiclover will enjoy ... relax, close yer eyes and listen.... words are gone. a masterpiece

Un bel brano molto ... molto delicato e riposante. Ispirato al lavoro di J.S. Bach's Goldberg Variations. Le soffici note del piano e la profondità del suono dell'organo incantano. Hai la possibilità di scivolare dentro quel mistero antico che è il sonno. Le persone che soffrono d'insonnia sanno cosa significa e quanto lo desiderano... arrendersi tra le braccia di Morfeo, nel sano riposo di un sonno naturale. Tutti dormono ... ma c'è sonno e sonno. Con questo brano possiamo godere delle vibrazioni profonde che attraversano e imbevono la nostra anima durante il sonno profondo. Questo era lo scopo del lavoro delle Goldberg Variations ed anche di questo brano, che è meraviglioso. Un altro dono da Doc e Lena Selyanina. A very beautiful song ... very delicate and restful. Inspired by the work of J.S. Bach's Goldberg Variations. The soft piano's notes and the depth organ's sound enchant. You can slip into that ancient mystery that is sleep. People suffering from insomnia know what it means and what they wish ... surrender in the arms of Morfeo in the rest of a healthy natural sleep. All sleep ... but there is sleep and sleep. With this track we can enjoy the vibrations deep crossing and dampened our spirit during deep sleep. That was the purpose of the work of the Goldberg Variations and even this track, which is wonderful. Another gift from Doc and Lena Selyanina.
