About this album

  • Updated: 01/12/2008

PROJECT KATRINA proudly presents our first official full length demo, called BIG ONES, which we have been recording during the last couple of weeks in our rehearsal room on the dark side of Nuremberg. ;-) We have given almost everything to make it a good one, still please don't expect perfection nor the reinvention of whatsoever. This is just the stuff we love to play, may you enjoy it!

(1) BIG ONES: If you had a choice – what would you do ... stay a face in the crowd or overcome mediocrity and try be a big one? Choose your side!

(2) GOING FASTER: Every single one of us got his cross to bear and his way to go, and life means a lot more than just the period of time between birth and death. No one has the right to critisize you as long as you hold on to your dreams. This is rock'n'roll.

(3) REIGN OF FEAR: Not just a typical PK song but an experimental one about the pitiabel state this world is in these days. It's high time to change something, still we fail over and over again.

(4) BACK, THEN: Being a young man you consider yourself invincible. The seasons change, friends and loved ones leave, some forever, and suddenly you find yourself in front of the task to give your life a sense. An eulogy on human mind, the best machine ever.

(5) LITTLE BOY: How to grow up without growing up? Thanks to the little man within us all that holds us back from becoming boring and frustrated cowards, he will never die!

All music composed, lyrics written, tracks arranged, recorded and produced by PK in 2008. Some rights reserved, others not. ;-) Cover illustration by Patrick Lederer based on an artwork by magnusfranklin. Everything published under CC/3.0/BY-NC-SA.

This is a very efficient rock album. Every instrument is well in place and powerful. At girst sight I thought that the voice was nos as expected in such a kind of hard rock but in fact they voice provides something more to the music, some originality and emotion. I like that. Thank you !
