About this album

  • Updated: 04/12/2008

Crowded Images is the happy return of Sevish after 3 years. This album has a very strong focus on harmony and rhythm. There is a mix of electronic styles, just like the last proj Sevish EP. Some tracks are drum'n'bass, some are breaks, some are like chamber music, and some are just something else uncategorised.

From the first track you'll hear I've been extending my harmonies a little bit. I open with Higgs Boson in my Pocket, a very syncopated, dubby tune. But I'll leave it up to you to discover what vibe is hiding behind the rest of the tracks

I've gotta say thanks to those peeps who have waiting ages for me to finish the album. I'm pleased to say "I did it" now. The reason it's been so long between releases is that my computer died and I didn't have access to one for months. I'm sure my style has changed loads since my debut EP.

Now I'm gonna say something I said three years ago. Enjoy this piece of bash. Make sure you burn a copy for each of your mates if you think there's a jam on it that they would dance to. All music is free for the people whether or not some big record label disagrees- that's why I'm happy to give this album to you.

I guess it goes without saying but you shouldn't listen to Thank Fuck for the System and spend time with children simultaneously. There's nothing wrong with the content, in fact it's rather optimistic, but the speaker is known to swear a bit. :)

I really hope you enjoy the music and get the most out of it. It's been fun.

Real smooth, jazzy, electronic, dance, music, that fills your heart and makes you want to dance. Love the beat, and the amazing rhythmic, funky feel to this music. Well produced and performed. A great catchy, very enjoyable, and wonderful album this is.

It is a good album, with a search for different rhythm as I like. It is a real pleasure of listening it, except Corn Fleakes can be too repetitive. Very good work, but software crushes too low notes. Listen later...

I listened to this album, and quite frankly, i cant really name, or remember any track in particular, cause it all joins together really well. Whilst you sit back at home, sipping your JD and coke and doing some artwork or programming, this music is the perfect background to set you off on a mind numbing relaxation session. Wouldnt change a thing, well done!

Crowded Images Album 'Sevish' begins with some melodic drum & Bass. The track 'Higgs Boson in my pocket' also has some Jazz elements and really is a fine peace of sound Art . 'watching the Moon Prelude' is a short track that if you imagined your thoughts were music ;-) or sound, could be said to be ' thinking which direction to take ' or emotionally undecided. 'Seasons ' is Again a Mix of genres with a break-beat backbone. It's Always nice to hear something different & as I listened to this Album I got the feeling that the Artist had got his own style . 'Thank Fuck for the system' A political speech about a system . The narrator makes some positive political points and as many 'systems' do, recites how worse it could be under more oppressive 'systems ' . In fact the system is irrelevant. Nature evolves using it's own 'Laws' and will continue to do so long after politics are gone . BUT!!! Global warming/Destruction of our natural environment are obviously a sign that current systems are getting the BALANCE very wrong indeed.

Think Laurent Garnier / Domu / Jazzanova and the like. If you like these artist you are sure to like this. A very fine album with some great up-to-date genres, broken beat, drum 'n bass, soundscapes, breaks and noises etc. "Seasons" is def a favourate of mine, the way it switches in the middle gives a really big feeling. Good production and writing. Nice work, thanks. Lee.

So many different kinds of songs, all on one album! It's Great! The album takes many ideas and concepts and blends them together brilliantly. This is especially noticed in tracks like Seasons, which is constantly changing and building. A great mix of a few different genres, I definately recommend the download!
