Good composition and production! Nice fusion of sounds! New age power! Thank you!
Ein sehr schön verspieltes DreamHouse Werk, leichter Touch an jazzigem und Lounge- Sounds. Wunderbares für die Ohren!!
Viele Grüße
A good mixture of chillout, downtempo and electronic elements.
I especially like the boomer-like subbassline and the subdued bassdrum in track 7 =)
This album really chills me out.
Well done, mate! Keep it up!
While I find alot of Kammerer's stuff a little too loungy, I really liked this album for some reason, and in particular "Gauntlet Charge". There's something about this track that just has me hooked.
Nice work. I'd prefer more on the dancey end of lounge, but hey, that's just my humble opinion.
sounds so cool makes me want to order a mint leaf martini and raise my chilly glass high to you~
Devils deep inside, really comes into its own towards the end, so it's a nice build up to a fantastic ending. Gauntlet charge, has a nice tone, though fairly non-committal, which even when it's ambient lounge, it's also dark ambient, so I would like to hear an 'edge'. I sort of comes into play about half way, but doesn't really stay. Still a nice track. Kämmerer are one of those artists that presents me with a slight dilemma. I have to look at the tag/genre list, which is long, and decide, rather than parrot, whether they meet their objectives. In a sense, they may as well have thrown in 'Kämmerer', or should I throw in the towel and just say great this, great that and so on, ad nauseum.
Either way Ambush, appropriately, lends itself well to this sense of confusion, which is ideal in an ambush, surprise being the advantage. The track is a sort of synthpop/electronic affair. Reasonable listening.
Now before I get accused of analysing too much, and me harping on about the point of a review, I will say that this doesn't come over as dark particularly, nor minimal in an electronic sense, nor idm. And, I'm not even sure whether trance comes into play. The rest more or less, happen at some point. Overall the effect, as I listen to Brother in Arms, which could be variously interpreted, is one of laid back, lounge with elements of chilled ambience and a smattering of electronic synthpop. However, there are more tracks to go, and yes I am actually endeavouring to listen to this, rather than throw caution to the wind, list the tags and say 'It's great'. It isn't awesome, it's OK. I like music to inspire me and excite my senses. Difficult with lounge maybe, but it is possible to still be innovative and inventive. Minimalism isn't about doing little, it's an artform in its own right.
Aftershock, starts off more interestingly. So far the album would have been great to put on and have an intelligent conversation with some friends, even imaginary ones. At last a track that makes me feel like I want to do something, like turn it up and say 'Hang on a minute'. It attempts to have a structure and progressive element, though ultimately it relies on falling back on the mildly active lounge effect. So, the conversation continues. Outpost Ljungberg, adds to the odd tracklisting and confuses me even more. Is there an agenda here being transmitted musically? Not a bad sort of synthpop affair, with some reasonable effort at giving it some depth, has a funky twitch to bewitch. Finally, No Surrender, which is a kind of echo, more like an aftershock than the track. For the everyday soldier, I am intrigued. Tell me what element are you active for. Is there a political statement being made here? Something about internal Swedish politics? Let me know, please. Anyway, I suspect that will remain a mystery, but overall I wouldn't have said 'trance n dance' was suitable for a soldier. Chill I would go with, maybe that will be one less dead innocent.
Great and pleasant discovery.
My favorite track Outpost Ljungberg. Excellent.
