Very interesting album, a soft atmosphere between 3 spheres of different natural elements. A pleasure for ears and good for dreaming about floating in the air.
I really like the third sphere, nice sounds and atmos, really laidback.
All the best with your music,
Sebastian / Chill Carrier
Didier Cembre
I was a little concerned about this one as I found the previous jamendo release from this artist -methodical- somewhat of a disappointment. I could sum that one up as "interesting, worth a listen but does not benefit from repeated playings" At best, I would have rated it 5/10.
This one however is totally different and a considerably more enjoyable and fulfilling listening experience. My only issue is that the artist refers to them as "drones". To me drones they are not, there is not enough repertition and delay to term them drones. They are to me quality pieces of short elecronica, nothing more, nothing less.
Sphere 1 is an excellent piece of very minimal sound. I would liken it to a butterfly fluttering around on the breeze on a warm summers day. Occasionally, another insect appears and then disappears until finally a couple of bees or wasps conspire to move the poor butterfly on. Very gentle and relaxing.
Sphere 2 has the butterfly reappear in an empty and disused factory building. The sound becomes more dense and dark as it takes on an industrial feel. Reminded me a bit of the start of a Pink Floyd track called, I think, "welcome to the machine". I was expecting it to erupt at any moment but it doesn't and that is fine by me.
Finally Sphere 3 sees us, and the butterfly!, up in space. Radio waves and communications all around us. This is reminiscent of a long track called "Past Andromeda" by Peter Koniuto released for free in 2004. It is one of my favourite recordings and Sphere 3 is like a mini version of this. Very satisfying.
Altogether a really impressive collection which leaves only one question unanswered, which is the real Pierecall? This one or the Methodical one. I know which answer I would prefer. Many thanks to you for this fine release.
great ambiences! really unique! not only on arrangement but on voice too. There is lot of original unique voice here! nice!
Very effective ambiental. Mental travel to unknown places.
