Beautifully majestic in the forgotten way. Heatstroke bears down on you and overcomes your senses with a blended barrage of ancient melody. Then the latter half is your skin peeling, light and flighty. Then the reverberations of a sense of recovery. Eerie towards the end. Meditate/Medicate, like it is the toss of a coin. The former sense of my realism is difficult to achieve, and the latter the easy option. So, the track has a sense of seeking a golden mean, a balance, equilibrium. My experience, obfuscate/inculcate. Such a quest should leave no stone unturned and bear directly to the core of the soul. The music reaches deeply into the potential abyss and returns with a greater sense of old knowledge. Very positive towards the end. Seeking the light inside and outside. Pull is quite gentle to start but then there is an unsettling feeling in my innards as the grip on my ears begins to twist and turn and tug, more firmly and assertively, reaching its peak with a tweak. Then, as the endorphins kick in the pressure is eased and the kinetics alter and ease gently away. Nepenthes is a fine tribute to a fine plant. Apparently, they are called 'monkey cups' because monkeys drink from them. More seriously though, having no sorrow, is a state of being that, like the plant bears it polarities and effects on your environment, from tropical to freezing our emotions may battle with grief. Nepenthes is quickly an acoustic atmosphere of profundity. A journey of fortitude but not in the sense of bearing the music out for there is a great sense of variation, like mixed emotions, like the flavour of rainwater from a carnivorous pitcher plant. Acquired maybe, but beautifully done nonetheless. Lovely epic soundscaping. The Fountain builds its pitch quickly and is slightly unsettling in its tonalities. It lightens, like the pressure eases and the noises cascade their aqueous structures. Flows well. Lullaby starts quite sweetly, capturing a sense of innocent magic. Then it reminds you, with its shadowy shivers, that down came the cradle, baby and all. Nice track. Smother is very serene. Lovely piece of work with a fine ambience. Urbex is a sonorous array of sound construction. Tidy album and an excellent second volume. Thanks for the listen.
