#12 this weekThree Songs
These three songs are extracts from the album Subversive Frailty, still not published.
Even though the idea was to record a "lo-fi" album with a few instruments, the arrangements and sound have long been studied to create the peculiar atmosphere of the album.
A lot of Music and Artists can be mentioned as an influence on it, but listen to the songs and you will have to agree that they are hard to define. The Velvet Underground, the solo-career of Nico (for the use of the harmonium), early recordings of Mercury Rev. I could say Bardo Pond, the Rock in Opposition movement or Les Rallizes Denudés, if you are a very demanding listener.
But this is just the "rock-side" of Three Songs. Sometimes a choice on the arrangement could bring the song near to renaissance, to minimalist or avant-garde music.
Too many words, have a good listen!

Please stay courteous and be sincere (for good and bad!). It can be an interesting read for others, but only if it is constructive and doesn't disparage the artist.
Please write about the music itself and don't be too hard on the sound quality of some demos.
