My first attempts at actually composing music for songs. I covered two public domain songs (Be Thou My Vision and God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen) in order to work on my arranging capabilities without also having to work on coming up with melodies and chord progressions.

For a start, I love the cover. And, for once the lyrics smack of a similarity, I lost three friends yesterday, through no fault of my own and am resigned to My (own) Lonely Arms. Very touching and very beautiful, I could cry (and sometimes do). Deep calls to deep, but life can be hellishly lonely, even when surrounded by a world that sometimes doesn't seem to care and people don't seem to want to hear what I say either.
Be Thou My Vision is all I have left and that will suffice. I have no choice and do not manipulate people for my own ends, I let them make their own decisions. Maybe that's where I'm going wrong? Again, a heartrending lyricism. God save us all. We need it for sure. As for the third track, comfort and joy is something we all need a bit more of. Jerusalem is the hymn that secures me in my moments of desperation. This track might replace it mind you, nice adaptation.
Lastly, So Are You. Another touchingly appropriate track for me and I don't usually go for lyrics, so this is a big step for me but I have really enjoyed listening to this. Just looking at one single star in the firmament, sometimes all I can connect to, can be a saving grace and here there is plenty of grace. Nice work and thanks.
Really nice lyrics, quite moving at times, when you listen to the lyrics, nice moving music to suit the tracks, and the guy singing, his voice really suits this type of music. All in all a good solid lovely, amazing album. I enjoyed it a lot.
I LOVE this album...
Love the meanings and the words to your music. I appreciate your views and may the god you hold true to you continue to bless your talents!
I appreciated your musical capabilties and in effect we can hear them in this work. Both your tracks and the popular covers, are well arranged and well played. The quality of recording is good. I don't like this fact : your voice infested by the light vocoder. Maybe, sometime who sings is affected by a bit of out of tune, but I rather prefer to listen to a real voice, instead of an effected one. Could be risky, nut sure someone will appreciate it.
It's a good work in general, go on like this man!

С реальным голосом было бы просто шикарно.Жаль..
